Hello beauties,
So I'm here with a review of a skincare product I have been trying out for 2 months now. Its one of the products in my last skincare haul, click here to check it out. So as the title suggests, the product is the Forever Clair (FC) Blemish Control Soap.

nice sturdy packaging

So according to the description on the packaging:
"A gentle and unbeatable anti-ageing formula to control the signs of ageing including wrinkles, stretch marks and cellulite. It will re-surface pitted acne-scarred skin leaving skin radiant, smooth and forever clear".

Ingredients:
Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, water, fragrance, glycerine, Kola Nut Extract, DL Panthenol, Lactic acid, Tocopherol Acetate, Wheatgerm Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Titanium Dioxide, Tetrasodium EDTA.

Retail price:
Ghc 6.10

out of the box and wrapper

The directions for use are:
"Use twice daily. Massage into a gentle lather. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry. Follow up with FC Multifruit cream, lotion and sunblock".

So here is my review:
This soap, which is a cleanser, is very mildly, barely-there, faintly, soapy scented so its good for those who do not like scented soap or get irritated by it. So most often i follow the directions for use.

wet cellulose sponge when its dry it shrinks

I wet the soap with water, create a later by rubbing the soap.

wetting the soap

I apply the lather unto my face and neck and leave it on for 3 minutes.

Creating a lather
Note:
The ladies at FC stressed on the fact that this soap should not be left on the skin for more than 5 minutes.

massaging action of sponge gently cleanses and exfoliates

Then i use a cellulose sponge to gently massage my face one section at a time for no more than 10 secs. In so doing my face gets gently cleansed and exfoliated at the same time.

Ewww!!! gross! but job well done!
Personally i prefer to use the cellulose sponge as i have found it to be non-abrasive. Some prefer the microfiber towels but i find its too harsh for my skin. The disadvantage with using the cellulose sponge is that you have to replace it every two weeks to avoid contamination. The soap is extremely gentle but of course you must make sure you dont get it into your eyes. Its non irritating and i dont feel any burning sensation nor does my skin feel dry. After this i follow it up with the FC Blemish Control Toner.

My overall thoughts:
I really like this soap as it is gentle, non-drying and non-irritating.  Honestly i'm not sure how or if the soap will work on its own. I use it in conjunction with the other products so i can't really tell. However, i believe it should be used as part of a skincare routine. Will i buy it again or recommend to friends? Definitely! It is affordable and readily available in Ghana so yes, why not? I have re-purchased it ever since my first purchase. I have also recommended it to a few of my friends and anyone who will listen.

Where to purchase:
At any FC retail outlet. FC Skin and Beauty Clinic or select pharmacies and beauty supply shops.

So this is my very short review on the FC Blemish Control Soap. Be on the lookout for my review on the remaining products and an overall review of the Blemish control system. Have you used this soap before? Whats your take on it? Is there a soap cleanser you love? Let me know.
Until the next post,
Keep on being fab!

xoxo,
Annette
