July 25, 2017Omgggggg!!!! I have forgotten how good it feels to get new makeup products. Such a mood lifter!!!! I have had these products on my wishlist for the longest and i'm glad i've finally gotten round to adding them to my collection.

1. Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation
This foundation is actually one of my favourites but for the longest time i refused to recommend it because of the poor shade range. So when the shade range was expanded i decided to add a few darker shades to my stash. The shade range still leaves much to be desired but hopefully more darker shades will be added. I got shades Deep 76 and Deep 78. Let me know if you'll like to see an in-depth review of this foundation.

2. Kat Von D Hydrating Primer
So this primer was highly recommended amongst Kat's new circle of makeup artists. I remember one gave a tip of mixing in this primer with the foundation to give a more natural finish so i'm curious to see how that works out. Plus it's water based and i wanted to have a water based primer in my kit as well.

3. Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealor Creme
I know for a fact that these would be nothing short of the Lock It Tattoo Foundation. This concealor is highly raved also but the shade range still can be improved. Looking forward to pairing with the foundation and others.

4. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
OMG! This product has been sitting on my wishlist for the longest. It has been highly recommended and the fact that a deeper version for dark skintones was released sold me. I'm super excited to add this holy grail status powders to my collection. I got the 2 shades: Translucent and Translucent Medium Deep.

Finally excited to have laid my hands on these products kind courtesy of EJBeautystore. With the boom of fake cosmetics on the Ghanaian market, i'm quite skeptical from which stores i buy from.
There are so many fakes flying around and its a shame because the fake products are different in terms of quality and and sometimes shades from the original. As for me i wont risk myself, clients and hard earned money all to buy cheap fakes of an original product.

ReplyDeleteHello Nana, the darkest shade in this range is 81 and unfortunately i dont think its super dark. Like i said the shade range needs to be improved. You can try other brands that cater to dark skin for a better match. Thank you for reading.
DeleteGirrrrlll I envy you. I've meaning to try the Kat von d foundation with the hype online but it's quite expensive here and I don't know my shade. So I'll just sit here and wait for it to fall on me. Lol
